Nordtronic A/S (hereinafter referred to as Nordtronic) appreciates your interest in the products and solutions on our website. We have a clear ambition of helping you find good lighting solutions.
In this endeavour, we need to collect personal data in order to provide you with the best possible service. It is very important to Nordtronic that we protect and respect your privacy. It is therefore our intention to process your personal data properly and appropriately in accordance with the rules of the General Data Protection Regulation, which are applicable in the EU Member States and EEA countries (including Norway).

2. What is personal data?
Personal data is any form of information about a natural person. That means all kinds of information which, directly or indirectly, can be linked to an individual. This might include names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, IP addresses and other similar information. Personal data is used to provide you with various services.
3. When does Nordtronic collect personal data?
Nordtronic collects a range of data in various ways when you come into contact with us. This may be in connection with your use of our online media, when you make customer visits or attend seminars, when you purchase Nordtronic products or when you apply for a job at Nordtronic.
4. The purpose of the collection of personal data
The purpose of collecting data is to conduct our business in accordance with the law, to deliver and develop the quality of our products and services, and to make your experience when you come into contact with us better.
5. What personal data does Nordtronic collect and why?
Nordtronic generally only processes ordinary personal data, unless you have given your express consent to the processing of other data.
The collection of ordinary personal data may take place in the following situations:
a. Contact details in the event of purchases
Contact details such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, titles, company details and the like are used during the purchase of goods and services from Nordtronic and recorded in our ERP system. They are collected in accordance with accounting legislation, as well as in connection with the provision of guarantees in the event of any complaints.
b. Contact details through various forms
Contact details are also collected in connection with registration for customer events, seminars or the filling out of other contact forms, for example on Nordtronic's websites and apps.
c. Information in connection with visits to the website
When you visit Nordtronic's website, we use cookies to enhance your experience. Cookies enable us to collect information about which pages and functions users use and visit so that we can optimise our website and provide the best possible user experience.
This collection is done through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager and only includes general data, such as number of visits, pages visited, which countries visitors come from and the like.
It is not possible to record data about individuals during this process.
d. Subscribing to Nordtronic's newsletter
When subscribing to Nordtronic's newsletter, you provide various personal data, such as email address, name, company details etc. so that we can provide you with our newsletter. Some data is necessary to deliver the service you have requested, while other data is optional. In this relation Nordtronic use MailChimp.
In connection with the sending of newsletters, Nordtronic collects information about the newsletters’ popularity in the form of data such as how many people open the newsletters, what content they read, clicks on links etc.
e. Social media
Nordtronic uses social media in our marketing, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. Nordtronic has access to our followers’ data which is available on their public profiles – this is data which individuals themselves have given when creating a profile on the social media in question.
Nordtronic uses social media’s analysis functions to measure interest in the information shared on Nordtronic's pages. The purpose of this is to optimize the content so that it covers its recipients’ interests. In this relation Nordtronic uses Facebook pixel and analysis tools.
f. Job applications
Nordtronic stores a single copy of job applications in a company database for the period of time we deem necessary – but for a maximum of one year from receipt of the application.
6. Data deletion
Nordtronic generally does not store personal data for longer than necessary to provide the best possible service, or for longer than is required by law.
In cases where you have consented to data collection, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. This applies, for example, to our newsletter. You can terminate your subscription to this at any time via a link in the email. Likewise, you can stop following Nordtronic on social media at any time.
If you withdraw your consent, we will stop processing your personal data, unless we are required to process it by law.
7. Data security
In order to guarantee protection of personal data, Nordtronic has implemented a number of organisational and technical measures. These include the training of relevant personnel and regular audits of our procedures.
8. Your rights
At any time, you have the right to access your personal data held by Nordtronic, or to have your data deleted or corrected, unless that data is subject to statutory exceptions.
You can send us a written request, in which case we will delete your personal data, unless there is a legal basis for continuing its processing. Such a request must include the information necessary for us to meet the request, i.e. your full name and email address. We will then accommodate your request as soon as possible.
9. Changes
Nordtronic reserves the right to change its personal data policy as long as any such change is in accordance with applicable legislation.
